The last time you installed a large software, let us say a photo program, you just executed one command, for instance INSTALL or SETUP. After that the installation program took control, creating and deleting files. A few minutes later you have a lot of new code and data installed. You had really no idea of what you had received. Hopefully all you received was good and may be it was. But think for a minute of all the millions of byte that were transferred and all the modifications that were made to the existing files. And all this was going on without your consent or knowledge.

A malicious code can do anything other program can. It can write a message on the computer screen, erase a stored file or stop a running program. Malicious codes can do different things every time. They can also do nothing most of the time and then suddenly act in a very dramatic way. (more…)

When running any website, you want to do everything you can protect it. To start protecting your WordPress website, you should first make a backup of your WordPress database and your essential files (uploads, plugins, themes, etc.). And do backups regularly in case of an emergency. If you make changes to your site frequently, I suggest doing backups daily or weekly. So What is a Master Code I Hear you Ask?

Well, lets assume you have forgotten your security code. The master code is a 10 digit number that will always be accepted as if it were your actual security code.

You can use the master code to change your security code back to what ever you like. When your Nokia handset asks you for the security code simply enter the master code.

Salah satu ciri komputer terinfeksi virus JeNGKol adalah komputer akan logoff jika user menjalankan file .INF dan saat user mengedit file VBS.

Virus ini akan menyembunyikan file berekstensi .DOC, dengan cara membuat file duplikat sesuai dengan nama file yang disembunyikan untuk mengelabui user. Bagaimana cara membersihkan virus ini? Ikuti langkah berikut ini:

1. Putuskan komputer yang akan dibersihkan dari jaringan (LAN).
2. Nonaktifkan “System Restore” selama proses pembersihan (Windows XP).
3. Matikan proses virus. Untuk mematikan proses virus ini dapat menggunakan tools pengganti task manager seperti “Process explorer”. Silahkan downlod tools tersebut di: http://download.sysinternals.com/Files/ProcessExplorer.zip.

4. Hapus registri yang dibuat oleh virus. Untuk mempermudah proses penghapusan silahkan salin script di bawah ini pada program notepad kemudian simpan dengan nama repair.vbs, kemudiai Jalankan file tersebut (klik 2x).

Satu lagi nih virus yang muncul yang dikenal dengan virus bulu bebek yang berbasiskan pemrograman Visual basic,Bulu Bebek menyembunyikan folder/subfolder pada flash disk dan membut file duplikat sesuai dengan nama folder/subfolder tersebut untuk mengelabui user. Untuk membersihkannya, simak langkah berikut ini:

1. Sebaiknya putuskan komputer yang akan dibersihkan dari jaringan (jika terhubung ke Local Are Network/LAN).
